I was commissioned by Sarah Ash, one of my favorite authors (and a friend of mine), to illustrate a scene from her newest published short story “Song for a Naming Day”. For those who have read the Tears of Artamon trilogy, “Song for a Naming Day” takes place about a year after the end of the trilogy and features some very familiar characters (such as Kiukiu) and some newer characters (such as little Larissa).
